Jb Wejman https://jbwejman.com/Infos Jean-Baptiste Wejman Atelier : Passage Couleur, Rennes Ce qui m'intéresse, c'est ce qui reste d'une forme quand elle commence à disparaître. Je vis et travaille à Rennes, entre peinture, dessin et écriture. À l'atelier, je travaille sur différents supports. J'envisage chaque peinture comme l'apparition d'un vestige en devenir : une histoire possible qui se compose de strate en strate, faite de souvenirs, d'effacements, de fractures et de recompositions. Coulures, glissements, dépôts de matière, une trace de paysage, d'architecture ou de lumière persiste sous la surface. Il en naît une abstraction ancrée dans le réel, un bruit coloré qui se tient entre le souvenir et l'oubli. L'écriture occupe une place à part entière dans ma pratique, en particulier la science-fiction et la poésie. J'y travaille le rythme, la fragmentation, le rapport du texte à l'image. Je développe actuellement un recueil de nouvelles, « Le phare du temps ». La première brosse le paysage d'un univers métallique où une horloge centrale règle tous les cycles d'un système fermé. Un système voué à être mis à mal. Reste à savoir par quoi, et comment. Peinture ou texte, la question reste la même : ce qui résiste quand un ordre se défait. C'est dans l'exposition que ces fragments se rencontrent et se font écho. Je suis disponible pour vous faire visiter l'atelier ou vous présenter mes derniers travaux. Plus que faire table rase j’ai eu besoin de recomposer mes affinités, mes intuitions. Vous allez pouvoir voir un ensemble d’œuvres et d’expérimentations, de dessins et de peintures, anciens•es et récents•es, qui vont cohabiter le temps de l’exposition. Les tables d’affinités étaient en chimie des outils pour aider à penser, à imaginer des associations d’éléments et leur résultat. Using machinima and interactive installations, fifteen artists examine the virtual automobile as medium, message, technological commodity, status symbol, interface, and prosthetics. Created through a process of appropriation and remix, these works lie at the intersection of fiction and documentation, performance and simulation, video art and experimental cinema. TRAVELOGUE takes the viewer for a ride through landscapes that are simultaneously familiar and uncanny, featuring dematerialized vehicles in autopilot mode; glitches, ghosts and algorithms; weapons of mass distraction and feedback loops; sudden acceleration, absolute speed, and endless stasis. Sous la contrainte du temps, j’ai repris le manuscrit du personnage Jack Torrance crée par Stephen King dans son livre Shinning. Manuscrit qui apparait aussi dans le film de Stanley Kubrick.
